2017 Scholarships

This July, the CCPAAA and COPA each presented scholarships to four deserving young people. CCPAAA scholarships were presented in memory of Cindy Whitten. These recent high school graduates, who are children of employees of the Carrollton Police Department, have been accepted at a college or university. They submitted an application, transcript, letters of reference and they were interviewed by the scholarship committee.

CCPAAA volunteers worked very hard in raising money for this project and this year each student received a scholarship of $1,000. This is the most we have been able to give in the 3 years that we have been giving scholarships and both the students and parents wanted to thank you. More photos are available on our photos pages.
