Joanne was nominated by Judy Lyle

It is my pleasure to nominate Joanne Kelly as t h e 2018 Volunteer of the quarter. Joanne is a wonderful example of what makes a great volunteer. If there is an event or special project coming up, she is the first one to ask "what can I do? If food is involved, Joanne is there, her greatest asset is that she loves to cook and she is always willing to assist with preparing meals, cooking meals or serving meals. When we participated in the Martha Pointer Park picnic, Cathy Quaid, Community Development Specialist stated "Joanne Kelly, what a cook! Please be sure she is available for our next picnic"

Although Joanne still works full time, she always manages to find a way to help meet the needs of any event we are participating in. Most times she'll use her spare time to work on our memorial bracelets, or help create unique and beautiful centerpieces for our Blue Santa program or Christmas party. She is our official greeter for our CPA classes and has been doing that for several years. She is always the first person to arrive and she greets each and every class participant and makes it her goal to learn everyone's name before the class graduates. Her warm smile helps make everyone feel at ease and she makes an effort to answer questions and to assist with whatever needs the class may have.

Ron Chartier, VP CCPAA states that Joanne has given many hours not only to our events but her willingness to help us raise money for the CCPAAA is a HUGE contribution to the overall profit of the group. If there is a special function, Joanne is always there to do whatever it takes to get the job done and she does it with a smile and a caring that makes our group shine. She is a hard worker and works many times behind the scenes to make our organization a much better group just by her presence and efforts. I wish there were 20 more just like her! I can't thank her enough for all that she does, she is a true asset to CCPAAA.

Joanne is truly dedicated to the CCPAAA and to our CPD...her great attitude and caring is one of the reasons why I feel she deserves this recognition and I am honored to nominate Joanne Kelly as volunteer of the quarter.
