Stephanie Giroux

3rd Quarter 2019 - Volunteer of the Quarter

It is my pleasure to announce our recommendation for volunteer of the quarter for 2019 is Stephanie Giroux. Stephanie has been a volunteer since 2011 and has contributed countless hours to our organization even though she is still working full time. She is a valuable asset to our Patrol and Alumni Association and is always willing to contribute her time and knowledge to our group.

It is not well known, but because she still holds a full time job, she contributes her volunteer hours to her company who in turn has donated several SW Airlines tickets to our organization on her behalf. We are truly grateful that she willingly donates these tickets to us for our fundraiser events such as our recent very successful Casino Night where we were able to auction off two round trip airline tickets from SW Airlines.

Stephanie may be a bit on the quiet side, but she is a dedicated and reliable asset and we are truly blessed to have her as a volunteer. Stephanie is a certified patrol trainer and one of her recent trainees, Katie Thornhill, who was nominated for volunteer of the 2nd quarter, states that because of Stephanie’s dedication to her training, she was able to complete her training quickly so she too can become a certified trainer. Stephanie and her husband Kirk, are on call to help assist when an emergency arises and help is requested by the PD. Even though she works, there are occasions when she has been known to show up late at night to assist with a call out and then report to work the next day.

Stephanie is very active in our garage sales and contributes many hours to help us set up and organize this annual event. Stephanie has the ability to get along with everyone she is a strong leader and her knowledge has benefited us greatly. She truly deserves to be recognized for all her hard work and dedication.
